This Classic Cheese Ball recipe features cheddar cheese, green onions, and spices, mixed with cream cheese and coated in pecans, perfect for appetizers.
Use a spreading knife to serve the cheeseball. Regular or low fat cream cheese will work fine. Substitute almonds or another finely chopped nut, or leave the nuts out completely and use bacon bits, chopped green onion, or Craisins. Prepare the cheeseball without nuts for a week ahead and coat it in nuts an hour before serving. Store in the refrigerator for several days or up to 2 weeks, and freeze without nuts for up to a month.
